India raised issues concerning its students in South Australia when the provincial premier, Jay Weatherill, called on Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi here. For those who want better medical care in their towns or on their reservations, or help for troubled families, or better schools, all these—and more—may be just down the road, when soon-to-be Native graduates return home to help their communities or work in others like them. On November 10, the Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber of Commerce (RMICC) honored 21 Indian students at its annual Scholars Gala. They are this generation’s achievers who plan, not merely hope, to make a difference in the Indian world, often in their own communities. The board approved freezing the salary schedule where it is currently and the master class schedule for the 2013-2014 school year.
